KTV Market Day  is coming soon – you have the school holidays coming up…. So use this time to plan, invent, create and enter your winning idea!!

KTV Market Day entry is FREE of charge and money earned on the day is YOURS! Prizes are awarded for various categories and the Regional Overall Stall Winner will be flown (with a parent) to Mnet Magic studio in Randburg where they participate in a live broadcast for the National Prize. They will also attend a live broadcast of the latest SA IDOLS show!   You may enter as an individual or with a group of friends/siblings/cousins (not more than 6 in a team). Entry is open to anyone between 6 -15 yrs old – NO ADULT TRADING / ASSISTANCE ALLOWED!  The entry form explains all the necessary steps to complete for an entry to be accepted – the business plan being most important to complete as entries cannot be accepted without a business plan (not applicable to performers). The theme for KTV Market Day is original, innovative ideas, handmade and home made! No fast food stalls, no ice-cream, no soft drinks allowed and no preparation of any foodstuff at the venue.

1. Stall entries:  (products, games, services – innovative ideas.)

The stall entries will be judged on 4 different categories by a panel of judges, and there are excellent prizes offered in each category including vouchers worth R1000, and hampers of exciting products.

The Regional Winner Prize: R3000 cash, hampers of products and the team leader/individual is flown to the Mnet studio for the LIVE broadcast of the National finals.  

The National winner: the KTV Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award – R20 000 cash, a laptop, printer and PVR!

SCHOOL AND TEACHER PRIZES: R5 000 CASH for the school with the most successful entries and A Regional Teachers prize of R5000 to the teacher who is the most enthusiastic and best supporter to her learners.

2. KTV YOUNG STARS talent search: 2010 –   R20 000 prize money to be awarded!  the search for the SA superstar between the ages of 6 -15 years is on . Whether the entrants sing, dance or do something extraordinary – this year the talent search is going National! The overall winner and overall winning group from each Region will become part of the top South African top 10.

KTV will come to Cape Town and film the individual winner and winning group doing three performances in a recording studio, these performances will then be aired on TV.

Each week, viewers at home will vote for their favourite by SMS and the top 2 will be flown up to Johannesburg to compete LIVE in studio for the grand prize of R20 000!

Please note that ALL performers must attend the auditions to be held on the 14 August at the Nassau Centre, Groote Schuur High School, Palmyra Rd, Claremont and complete a Performers Entry form. Backing tracts must be brought with no vocals please, clearly marked with name and tract number.

KTV Market Day offers the young entrepreneurs the opportunity of testing their products by selling directly to the public on Market Day at Canal Walk Shopping Centre.  The stalls are laid out down the sidewalks of this shopping centre inviting the shoppers to stop and buy their products.  Three KTV presenters will be there on Market Day and a host of fun, entertainment and excitement is had by all.  Each accepted stall holder and their team mates will receive a KTV goodie bag on registration.  The vibe at this event is so electric it could light up Cape Town!
